Open Source Software - the better alternative
In both economy and administration Open Source software (software whose source code is freely available) increasingly becomes the focus of attention, because the employment of expensive and insecure proprietary software by the market leaders is becoming more and more problematic in times of cost savings and increased security requirements.

Lowering of licence fees - Linux and Open Office are available for free. The only costs emerging from a changeover are for consulting and employee training; due to the fact that license fees become unnecessary, these costs amortize quickly.
